Welcome to the Zone

I touched down in Kōng during the year of lost souls. Being intent on finding real gritty inspiration for my writing I found accommodation in the 9th Dragon district. It's a bit of a beat up old neighborhood but it has cheaper rents on the ruins we all inhabit and the locals haven't sold their souls to fashion labels.
I had been here for about a month when the wall socket that I used to power my computer started to act faulty. I pulled it out to see if it was a loose wire causing the problem and found 2 USB sticks nestled in the hole where the socket had been positioned. Finding another socket to power up my machine I investigated their contents and found a selection of word documents and audio files.
Over time I have been sifting through these documents, printing out the words and cleaning up the audio so that I can share them with you here.
